Volunteer Spotlight

Thank You, Joe! Joe Hoover has been a key volunteer since 2018. He has been a project leader, organizing and completing many projects. He is moving out of the area, so will be leaving us around the end of this year. He will be sorely missed. His quiet, can-do attitude has been greatly appreciated by both clients and coworkers.

Note From President Magen

We are a small affiliate of the national organization Rebuilding Together. We are not the

smallest but we like to think we are the mightiest. According to the National office, an affiliate of our size, based on annual donations, completes an average of 13 projects per year. In 2023 we completed 52 and have already reached that number this year! We are only able to address the most critical needs.

Our clients are invisible to many:

  • over 50% percent have annual incomes below the Federal Poverty Line of $15,060,

  • half are veterans, disabled or both, and almost half are elderly single women living

alone

We rely on donations to pay for supplies and for licensed contractors to do work we cannot – such as roofing. We do not want our volunteers on roofs! Most of our projects are done by volunteers who give their time and talents to help people in need.

To all our donors and volunteers – thank you so much. Many needy homeowners would not

get help without you
